Title: Database Administrator Submit your resume to: Description: This individual has a minimum of 8 years experience in application development and relational databases with particular experience in the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005, experienced with on-site implementation of Enterprise software products, and knowledgeable about real estate or alternative officing in general. This DBA will work as a key member in the AgilQuest Implementation Team as a specialist in the database design and implementation for AgilQuest products. Development tasks will involve implementation of custom applications, reports and integration features using technologies such as ASP.NET, XML, XSL, SQL, HTML and Javascript. The ability to manage complex database design and coding tasks is essential. The individual in this position must have excellent problem-solving, analysis and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Specify, design and create tools and applications to aid in the installation, configuration and maintenance of AgilQuest products. Ongoing investigation and research into tools and technologies that would improve both the efficiency and reliability of the Datamart and data repository environment & infrastructure. Developing reports using SQL Server Report Services and Clarify. Developing ETL programs using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Production Support of Several SQL Server 2005 databases including troubleshooting problems with the DB Server, identifying improvements to existing configurations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Review requirements and specifications documents and provide feedback Create a thorough work plan from the requirements and specifications, with database design details and enumerate all the implementation tasks, their dependencies and estimates for executing them Implement the solution to meet the requirements and specifications without compromising schedule or budget or quality Solve problems and issues creatively and independently Proactively raise awareness of issues, problems, risks and changes in schedule Demonstrate full ownership and follow-through on assigned tasks Perform thorough unit testing of deliverables before handing over to client or quality assurance for functional testing Create detailed documentation on the implementation detailing any known issues, workarounds, configuration information Provide analysis and quick fixes for issues that are reported by customers Database and Datamart definition, design and performance tuning Perform analysis and design of reporting requirements Author and maintain reports using the SQL Server Reporting Services and Clarify Build and deploy reports into reporting environment for development, testing and production Develop queries to support the reports ETL development using SSIS and DTS and transfer existing DTS programs to SSIS Troubleshoot and resolve database issues including performance issues, data integrity issues, logging and storage issues, problems with executing processes Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or Mathematics Requirements 8 years MS SQL Server DBA experience Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and, self-manage tasks and time Experience with SQL; ability to form SQL queries; write stored procedures and simple SQL administration tasks.
