People who reserve workspaces or conference rooms can make or break the success of your Agile workplace initiative. The usability of the systems they use to reserve and check-in to reserved workspaces must be easy to use, logical, and inviting.
The latest release of the OnBoard® Workplace Management Solution takes workplace management to a new level of usability by extending OnBoard’s integration with telephony and room management systems making it much more useful for workers.
AgilQuest has integrated Steelcase’s RoomWizard™ - a touch screen interactive panel that displays room availability - with OnBoard’s native ability to measure the actual use of workspaces. People simply tap the RoomWizard panel to indicate that they are actually using their reserved conference room. If meeting leaders do not check in to the room, then OnBoard can “bump” the reservation, making the room available for another group. This solves the largest problem associated with conference rooms, which is the booking of rooms that go unused.
The end user’s experience has been enhanced with a complete redevelopment of the Mobile Worker interface. Individuals may now tailor the web-based interface to reach their most used functions quickly. A new “Express Reservation” feature streamlines the reservation process by saving reservation preferences. Onboard also provides an enhanced “wait list” feature so that desired rooms that are booked can be reassigned automatically when and if they become available. Users that wish to establish recurring reservations will benefit from a new date-conflict resolution feature.
This new version of OnBoard is AgilQuest’s most significant release since the OnBoard Workplace Management System was initially launched. It is the most robust, functional and easiest-to-use release ever. OnBoard has always been the best way for people to make and manage workplace reservations. With this new release the best just got better.
Real estate managers can use the real-time workplace information provided by OnBoard to make better invest/divest decisions, optimize the design of workplaces, and identify their mobile worker population. OnBoard users have documented real estate savings or cost avoidance amounting to tens of millions of dollars annually.
