John Vivadelli, founder and CEO of AgilQuest, has broad-ranging experience in the technology field as both a market visionary and product developer. He is a well respected, industry expert in the fields of alternative office environments, real estate metrics and cost management, and business continuity.

“Facility management requires more than simply maintaining an inventory of space and its assigned occupant.” says Mr. Vivadelli. “Executive management demands to know real estate’s actual use because you cannot truly manage what you do not measure. Not only can organizations save millions of dollars annually by eliminating or reconfiguring underutilized space, but knowing actual use enables organizational resiliency and business continuity.”

Mr. Vivadelli has presented or lectured to organizations such as the International Facility Management Association, including its Hong Kong Chapter, Corenet Global, DoD Executive Management Course, Carnegie Mellon University’s Advanced Building Systems Consortium, Asia’s Facility Media conference, the MIT Enterprise Forum, the American Management Association and many others. He is invited to join CoreNet Global’s CoRE Curriculum faculty and is a member of its newly formed Workplace Community.

Mr. Vivadelli is chairman of the Strategy and Planning Metrics Workgroup of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE) where he has participated in leadership positions since the inception of the organization. He sat on the Board of Directors for ITAC (International Telework Advisory and Council) and led its acquisition and transition into the Telework Advisory Council for WorldatWork, the world`s leading not-for-profit professional association dedicated to knowledge leadership in total rewards, compensation, benefits, and work-life. He has served on the Board of CoreNet Global’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter for three years and has attended CoreNet Summits for over ten years.

Prior to launching AgilQuest, Mr. Vivadelli served in technical sales and consulting services roles at IBM. There he was recognized as President of IBM’s “100% Club”--an accolade given to IBM’s top salesperson. He was later made a Principal in the IBM Consulting Group where he was instrumental in the development of IBM’s “FlexiMOVETM” workplace management system, an application that helps save the company over $100 million annually in real estate costs.

John Vivadelli earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Submarine Service and went on to qualify as Engineering Officer on board the nuclear submarine USS Silversides. Today, he remains a Commander in the Naval Reserves. Mr. Vivadelli lives with his wife, Stephany, and their five children in Richmond, Virginia.
